This paper aims at examining the effects of colour and consumer expertise on the construction of a commercial web site-oriented attitude. Using semi-directive interviews, we sorted out key expertise-related topics processed by web surfers while shopping online. The results reinforce the view that the effects of colour and images quality perceived by consumers are highly significant.
