ABSTRACT
The article discusses the increasing number of horror-themed television (TV) programs from cable and multiple system operators (MSOs) in the U.S. These programs include the zombie-based drams "Dead Set" from IFC, the vampire-feast series "True Blood" from Home Box Office Inc. and an adaptation titled "The Walking Dead." It also explores some horror films including "Twilight," "The Boy Who Cried Werewolf" and "Return of the Living Dead."
