ABSTRACT
The article announces the holding of the extraordinary and public ordinary consistories for the creation of cardinals on November 19-20, 2010 in Vatican City. The designated cardinals will be given a gold ring by Pope Benedict. The creation of cardinals is conducted publicly based on the canon 351 and with the participation of the College of Cardinals. The three main functions of Cardinals in the church are mentioned.
