ABSTRACT
The article presents research which assessed the mechanisms that affect the fall and rise of popularity of organizational practices and cultural objects. The researchers argued that most studies published in this field focused on the development of cultural practices but rarely assess their abandonment. According to them, they should analyze data on all trajectories including the aspect that deals with numerous objects and practices that never became popular to obtain unbiased estimates and explanations for the dynamics of popularity.
