ABSTRACT
The article focuses on corporate politics at the microblogging service company Twitter Inc. It states that in March 2011 Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey was rehired as chief executive officer of Twitter after being demoted by Twitter's board of directors in 2008. It compares Twitter to social network company Facebook and mentions that Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg pays significantly less attention to the rival service than he did when Twitter first started up. It talks about efforts by Twitter to lure two senior product managers away from search engine company Google which fell through when Google offered lucrative counteroffers. It comments on the limited options advertisers have on Twitter and on Twitter's lack of coherent philosophy concerning moneymaking endeavors.
