ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the Great Barrier Reef International Marine College (GBRIMC) in Cairns. GBRIMC is described to be the largest certificate-level marine trainer in Australia and located in the center of the Marine Industry Precinct. The college aims to work in collaboration with other marine colleges to deliver higher-level training. As of August 2011, GBRIMC offers various courses including Coastal Maritime Operations-Coxswain, Master 4 and Master 5.
