ABSTRACT
The article presents the author's view on the book "In the Mink," by Anne Scott-James in England. She depicts the book as a thinly disguised portrait of the Scott-James' pre-war and post-war years as a journalist. She cites the issues raised by Scott-James including how women handle power, how they are perceived in top jobs and how one cope with marriage. She offers information on the doings of Scott-James' fictional counterpart, Elizabeth Gaskell.
