CMS drops proposed payment reduction for 2012 inpatient PPS

The article reports the increase in medicare payments to acute care hospitals for fiscal year 2012 as announced by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Jonathan Blum, Deputy Administrator, stated in a press release that this will help to increase better health care to the patients. Various steps which include readmissions, inpatient quality reporting program are discussed.
