ABSTRACT
Sexuality is a very difficult topic to be addressed, especially in old age, this makes the adjustments, overruns of taboos, prejudices and difficulties related to the aging process. This was a descriptive and exploratory quantitative and qualitative approach, held at the Educational Center Unified Boys of Sao Paulo. 14 seniors were selected randomly and invited to participate in research aimed at understanding their habits and needs regarding sexual life. Results showed the prevalence of females aged 60 to 72 years, hypertension was the reason that led to more disinterest in sex. We conclude that the data front, it is necessary to work effectively with individual health policy for this population, since studies show a future where the elderly population will be the largest in our country.
