1. Better management can reduce the global warming impact of beef

The article discusses a report from the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS), which has found that climate-friendly management practices can reduce the global warming impact of beef production. According to the report, methane and nitrous oxide are two major heat-trapping gases associated with beef production and both of them can be reduced through pasture improvements. It has been reported that climate-friendly practices could also reduce air and water pollution associated with beef production. It has been stated that the Congress and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) are being recommended by the UCS to invest in research on optimal grazing systems.
