The article presents clinical updates. The necessity of providing high dosages to treat troublesome pathogens is discussed as standard dosages of antimicrobials fail to provide optimal bactericidal activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. A study shows that using warfarin and concomitant ceftriaxone elevated international normalized ratio (INR) values. Aminoglycoside pharmacokinetics may occur in patients with chronic spinal cord injury due to which patient-specific monitoring is recommended.
