The article focuses on the advancement of Vital Source Technologies Inc. in the uptake of electronic textbooks (etextbooks) in higher education. It states that Vital Source settled an agreement with DeVry University in Downers Grove, Illinois to offer etextbook management as well as distribution services to the career college. It mentions that Vital Source has also empowered the etextbooks at Education Management Corp. schools in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania except the Brown Mackie schools.
