ABSTRACT
The article reports on a study conducted by Freeman J. V. and colleagues focusing on the cost-effectiveness of dabigatran in comparison to adjusted-dose warfarin for preventing ischemic stroke in patients 65 years of age with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation (AF). The study shows that Compared with adjusted-dose warfarin, dabigatran was more cost-effective for preventing ischemic stroke in older patients.
