ABSTRACT
The article reports on a study by Patti and colleagues focusing on the benefits of pretreatment of patients with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with high-dose statins. The study showed that there was 43 percent relative risk reduction in periprocedural myocardial infarction (MI) with high-dose statin pretreatment in patients having PCI.
