ABSTRACT
The article presents the interim conclusions of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Committee on Freedom of Association on Case No. 2739 involving the Brazilian government and trade unions. The Office of the Public Prosecutor of Sao Paulo has allegedly initiated legal proceedings that prevented union participation in protest actions. The government was urged to create a tripartite Council of Industrial Relations. It was also encouraged to host a dialogue with unions on the allegations.
