The article looks at photographer E. Katie Holm and her role in depicting female warriors of history. Holm is known for the photos she exhibited in the 2007 Women Photographers and Visual Artists show that portray historical female warriors including Queen Boudicca of England, Grace O'Malley of Ireland, and Jemima Nicholas of Wales. Outside photography on female warriors, Holm has taken photos professionally that are themed on food, interior design, and retail goods.
