ABSTRACT
The article offers information on a research conducted to assess the relationship between the socioeconomic (SES) factors at birth and adolescence and their impact on the lung function, also presented is a trajectory of SES from birth to adolescence. The cohort study on 4,005 adults in Pelotas, Brazil was conducted and lung functions were measured using spirometry. It was analyzed that low SES individuals has poor lung function.
