ABSTRACT
The article discusses a study by Valerie J. Dunn and colleagues conducted to examine the association between adverse family experiences over the childhood and early adolescence years and subsequent psychopathology. Adversities were recorded retrospectively in three time periods including early and later childhood and early adolescence. The results indicate that different profiles of family risk may be associated with specific mental disorders in young people.
