ABSTRACT
The article reports that the Virginia state Board of Education approved the 61 textbook titles from seven publishers for the K-12 math adoption in 2011. It says that the state board revised the process for textbook adoptions. It mentions that the state board encourages districts to adopt the approval process made by the state in adopting the off-list textbooks. It adds that the states withdrew its approval of two elementary history textbooks from Five Ponds Press Inc.
