CA Signs Licensing Pact with INNOVATION

This article reports on an agreement entered by CA Technologies with INNOVATION Data Processing to include UPSTREAM for Linux on Z and UPSTREAM for z/OS UNIX in its Linux on System z management offering. According to Dayton Semerjian, general manager for mainframe at CA Technologies, the collaboration aims at simplifying operations and leveraging the cost savings potential of Linux. The tool allows the central management of storage in hybrid mainframe and distributed environments.
