Heterotopic pregnancy represents the coexistence of an ectopic pregnancy with a intrauterine pregnancy. The frequency of the heterotopic pregnancy is in general low, 1 in 10.000 pregnansis. It's very difficult to put a clinical diagnosis. The discovery of a heterotopic pregnancy requires a special atention of the obstetrician.
