The article focuses on the Broadband Forum standard called Technical Report (TR)-069 customer premises equipment (CPE) wide area network (WAN) management protocol which displays the status of home Wi-Fi devices. It says that Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification (DOCSIS) 3.0 modems and gateways support the TR-069 standard. Moreover, it mentions that cable operators can help customer's problem and planning internet protocol (IP) services by supporting TR-069 in DOCSIS and CPE devices.
