ABSTRACT
The article offers a review of 18 clinical reports which describe diverse anaesthetic management for Brugada syndrome, including a total of 28 patients, most under general anaesthesia. It found that those with an implanted defibrillator should have it deactivated and that patients should have external defibrillator pads applied continuously throughout the perioperative period. The safety of propofol infusions for maintenance of general anaesthesia is seen in limited duration and dose.
