ABSTRACT
The article discusses the recent developments in cervical spine treatment as of 2011. It mentions a study of cervical myelopathy which showed a significant result following the determination of differences of anterior and posterior cervical spine surgery. It cites disc arthroplasty which continuously demonstrated a good outcome as cervical spine therapy. It also notes atlantoaxial arthrodesis which is proven to be an efficient treatment for patients with nonrheumatoid destructive arthropathy.

In patients with os odontoideum and posterior atlantoaxial subluxation are extremely rare. No reports have described posterior atlantoaxial subluxation associated with os odontoideum combined with cervical spondylotic canal stenosis, both of which require surgical treatment. Although anterior cervical arthrodesis is an effective procedure for the treatment of cervical disorders, the method has some complications. Here, we describe this rare complication of cervical instrumentation with a literature review. A 23-year-old male patient was operated for a C6-C7...

The article presents a case study of a 27-year-old man diagnosed with cervical disc herniation and treated through C6-C7 cervical disc arthroplasty (CDA). It shows the capacity of CDA in maintaining operated disc's range of motion and in reducing adjacent level kinematic strain. It considers CDA...
