ABSTRACT
The article presents surgical methods for complex proximal tibial fractures. It mentions the anterolateral approach which is commonly used for tibial plateau fractures. It cites the medial technique which is usually seen in medial tibial plateau injury. It also notes the extended lateral approach with fibular osteotomy which is utilized to fractures exposed in the lateral tibial plateau.

Various materials are used to fill osteotomy defects created in the medial opening wedge high tibial osteotomy (MOWHTO).
