The article focuses on the Comcast content delivery network (CCDN) project of Comcast Corp. It states that the project connects 130 islands of video-on-demand (VOD) servers, which reduced to 90, into a nationwide network being managed by the library servers in four regional locations. It mentions that Comcast can quickly update VOD content using CCDN. It adds that Comcast executives said that CCDN could also be applied to other services like the network-based digital video recorder service.
