ABSTRACT
The article discusses the problems in paint application process particularly roll coating and roller coating. It states that the defects with roll coating as compared to spray application include spattering, air bubbles, and poor wetting. It says that during the coating process using a roller, problems like ropiness and ribbing due to viscoelasticity may also occur.
