ABSTRACT
The article offers the author's insights on the effects of high price equipment in the golf industry in the U.S. He argues that the manufacturers, who are free from the U.S. Golf Association (USGA) ruling interference, complain on the rules blocking their bottom line. Further, he says that the 2011 U.S. Open at Congressional and July's U.S. Senior Open in Inverness, Scotland made him realize the pressure caused by the technology chase on putting surface speeds.
