The article reports on the conditions of the commercial marine market in 2011 and the challenges facing marine coating manufacturers such as high raw material costs and low build orders to regulations and international standards. It states that marine coatings producers respond with the technologies development to improve coating performance, increase ease of use, and reduce environmental impact. It notes the forecast for the industry from 2011 to 2014 and the factors affecting the industry.
