The article discusses aspects of designer coatings and its importance in the finishing touches. It explains that designer coatings, which is referred as faux finishes, replicates the appearance of natural look or ancient decorative which cover a gamut of materials and techniques. It designer coatings including metallic paints, plasters, and stenciling have received a lot of attention in part due to the advances in the technology that allows easier and quicker application of the process.
