ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the opportunities provided by government-sponsored benchmarks for the paint and coatings industry in the U.S. It highlights the set of financial metrics from the Census Bureau, the Economic Census and the Annual Survey Manufactures (ASM), highlighting its significance for the sector in following trends and tracking critical metrics. Data on the impact of the 2008-2009 global economic recession on the industry is explored.
