ABSTRACT
The article presents the comments from the American Coatings Association (ACA) on the proposed revisions of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Guides for the Use of Environmental Marketing Claims. The comments, which indicate ACA's support for the proposed revisions, note the important purpose of the guides. The proposed guidance on the use of life cycle analysis (LCA) standards on marketing or substantiation for environmental claims is discussed.
