ABSTRACT
The article discusses the factors that formulators and resin producers in coatings industry must consider to develop an effective coating technique and product for concrete surface application. The author relates that selection of coatings for concrete application is determined by environmental issues, substrate condition, and performance properties. He conveys the four basic requirements of concrete coatings including water resistance, tire resistance, and exterior durability.
