ABSTRACT
The article the Black Hat Chefs in-house training program of the University of North Carolina Healthcare System. The system provided training to 30 cooks at the UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill and 15 at the Rex Heathcare in Raleigh. Some benefits of the four-tiered program to cooks include ability to earn rank, bonuses and promotion. A brief overview of the program history is provided.
