ABSTRACT
The article discusses sourcing of local fruits and vegetables by chefs for their foods and cocktails. Some of the seasonal fruits and vegetables for August include bell peppers, sweet corn, okra and cucumbers. Mixologists have created their signature cocktails using seasonal ingredients such as drinks made with fresh berries, basil and watermelon. Recipes for Grilled Trout with Chimichurri, Mediterranean Shrimp Kabobs and Haru's Watermelon Fizz are presented.
