ABSTRACT
The article reports that the National Science Teacher Association (NSTA) and sponsoring corporations established the New Science Teacher Academy for enhancing new teachers' performance and confidence for professional development, engagement with like-minded peers, and professional mentoring. More than 200 teacher applicants will be given the scholarship for the 2011-2012 Academy program.
