ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the development of broadcast automation to replace mental and manual labor to software application in the U.S. It mentions that business process management (BPM) and service-oriented architecture (SOA) can be used to allow the broadcasting industry to adapt to the new landscape for media and entertainment. Also, it notes that BPM leads to decreased operational expenditure and more efficient planning of capital expenditure.
