ABSTRACT
The article offers information on how the American dominance in the Asian Pacific region is being challenged by China. The U.S. is now facing China whose GDP will exceed its own in another 20 years. The U.S. and China established the U.S.-China Strategic & Economic Dialogue against a backdrop of competition in the Asia-Pacific region. The U.S. however will continue to hold its lead in innovative high-tech industries.
