ABSTRACT
The article offers tips on the measurement of fan-belt tension to ensure proper system performance. Belt tension can be measured by deflecting the tensioned belt at a given distance. It can be measured through natural frequency, making it applicable for banded and V-belts. Meanwhile, the stretch of a tension belt can be measured using the Tension Finder.
