ABSTRACT
The article reports on a study which observed the efficacy and safety of prescription omega-3 fatty acids for preventing recurrent, symptomatic atrial fibrillation (AF). The study was conducted by researcher P.R. Kowey and colleagues, and was published in a 2010 issue of the "Journal of American Medical Association." The study revealed that prescription omega-3 fatty acids did not prevent recurrent, symptomatic, paroxysmal or persistent atrial fibrillation.
