ABSTRACT
The article reports on a study which noted the accuracy of diagnostic ultrasonography in adults with suspected subacromial disorders. The study was conducted by researcher R.P. Ottenheijm and colleagues, and was published in a 2010 issue of the "Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation." The study revealed that ultrasonography has high sensitivity and specificity for diagnosing full-thickness rotator cuff tears.
