ABSTRACT
The article reports on a study to note the efficacy and safety of clopidogrel and omeprazole compared with clopidogrel alone in patients with coronary artery disease. The study was conducted by researcher D.L. Bhatt and his colleagues at VA Boston Healthcare System in Boston, Massachusetts, and was published in a 2010 issue of the "New England Journal of Medicine." The study revealed that clopidogrel plus omeprazole reduced gastrointestinal events in patients with coronary artery disease.
