ABSTRACT
The article discusses a study which found whether third-generation P2Y12 inhibitors reduce mortality more than clopidogrel after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). The study was conducted by researcher A. Bellemain-Appaix and his colleagues, and was published in a 2010 issue of the "Journal of the American College of Cardiology." The study concluded that third-generation P2Y12 inhibitors reduce risk for mortality and increase risk for major bleeding after PCI.
