The article focuses on restoration procedure and understanding analog tape. It says that magnetic tape comprises of several ingredients including plastic tape, binder and iron oxide and professional tapes should be stored in a smooth tape pack that reduces environmental contamination and make layer-to-layer echo. Moreover, playable tape is necessary to calibration of machines and professional tapes must come in their own frequency response, azimuth calibration and own test tones.
