ABSTRACT
The article presents a study which investigates the alkaloid compounds from the roots of Uvaria (U.) rufa. It says that the roots of the U. rufa which were collected from Nakornpanom Province in Northeastern Thailand in July 2004 were identified by doctor Obchan Thaithong through comparison with the herbarium specimen. It adds that the compounds including oxoanolobine, lanuginosine, and roemeroline were identified by means of spectroscopic methods.
