ABSTRACT
In the article the author discusses a study by University of Arizona's Center on Aging on xerostomia (dry mouth) which revealed that consuming lemon-lime sorbet can stimulate salivation in the elderly suffering from xerostomia or dry mouth. He states that although the study is very small to draw any conclusions, the intervention of using sorbets to stimulate salivary flow is simple, inexpensive and too appealing to ignore.
