ABSTRACT
This article reports on the launch of an intelligence-driven checkpoint by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in 2011. According to the IATA, the checkpoint differentiates the level of screening passengers. It will use data about passengers from governments in their pre-screening. Meanwhile, the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) explores how to implement some sort of risk-based screening at airport checkpoints.
