The article focuses on the play "The Unfaithful Wife," translated from the Danish, "Den Utro Hustru," by Leif S√ɬłndergaard and Tom Pettitt. It says that the play is preserved at the Royal Library Thott MS 780 in Copenhagen, Denmark, along with two other plays "The Judgement of Paris" and "The Play of St Dorothy." It relates that "The Unfaithful Wife" concerned on the acceptance of the sexual needs of both men and women without offering moral extenuations. It states that "The Unfaithful Wife" and "The Judgement of Paris" are the only Danish plays surviving from the Middle Ages, which have an analogous tradition. It adds that "The Unfaithful Wife" was written and performed the aspirations of craftsmen and it starts in the classic manner of the Shrovetide interlude.
