ABSTRACT
The article presents the author's insights regarding the technology used in the telephone service offered by cable companies. The author says that Skype, a free communication service, has done a good job of connecting people internationally. He mentions the applications of iPod such as weather and news monitoring, e-mail checking, and Web browsing. He also stresses the need for cable technologists to understand the competition and its technologies to guarantee continued success.
