ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the disadvantages of having a smartphone. He notes his amusement over the Talking Tom smartphone application and being unsure of acquiring the new iPhone. He believes that smartphone technology has more disadvantages in terms of the addiction and loss of productivity that it creates among users. The author concludes that having a smartphone may eventually lead to more people becoming burned out because families, friends, co-workers, and clients expect them to be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
